How do hair donations work?

We are affiliated with Sustainable Salons which take care of all our recycling, chemical waste, hair scraps & donations! Your hair must be 25cm or more to donate and can be coloured or natural.

What happens to hair waste?
Even your trim is recycled and goes towards cleaning up oil spills. Look at you saving the planet while practicing self care!

RECYCLING

What are all your recycling procedures for trash?

At Parental Advisory Hair we recycle our metals, plastics, paper, chemicals, sharps, hair & coffee grinds.

We do this with separate bins throughout the salon and have the team at Sustainable Salons retrieve it fortnightly to recycle properly and collect the proceeds for places like OzHarvest which feeds our homeless community.

So if you have any old shampoo bottles you want to recycle BRING THEM IN!

SUSTAINABILITY FAQS

  • To ensure we reduce our water wastage we use Ecoheads on all of our basins to purify and limit overflow.

  • Evo has made major moves to convert all their packaging to recycled material, so yes we are sustainable :)

  • A $4 green fee is charged during every session here at Parental Advisory Hair which contributes to Sustainable Salons employment of persons with disabilities to properly recycle our waste and spread the proceeds around our community.

  • PAH offers a custom shade conditioner named Evo Fab Pro which is easily refilled in between or during services.
